My name is Álvaro Ibáñez Pérez, I’m a Spanish astrophotographer, from Madrid. In 2012 I bought my first telescope (70/700 achromatic refractor) and my first Canon DSLR camera and I started taking pictures of the sky, something I’ve been doing ever since.
Currently, I have a Takahashi FSQ106EDX telescope, a Takahashi EM400 mount a monochromatic ASI6200MM Pro and ASI2600MC Pro OSC camera.
I constantly avoid the light pollution from my city, Madrid, so I usually travel more than 200km away from home to capture quality photographs.
I currently have a telescope ubicated at a telescope hosting in Galicia (Trevinca Skies). I also have a small, very portable astronomy kit with a color camera that I take out into the countryside in my camper van.

Mi nombre es Álvaro Ibáñez Pérez, soy un astrofotógrafo español, de Madrid. En 2012 compré mi primer telescopio (un refractor acromático 70/700) y mi primera DSLR Canon y empecé a hacer fotografías del cielo, algo que llevo haciendo desde entonces.
Actualmente tengo un telescopio Takahashi FSQ106EDX, una montura Takahashi EM-400, una ASI6200MM monocroma y una ASI2600MC color.
Constantemente evito la contaminación lumínica de mi ciudad, Madrid, por lo que normalmente hago más de 200km desde mi casa para conseguir fotografías de calidad.
Actualmente tengo un telescopio en un hosting remoto de telescopios en Galicia (Trevinca Skies). También tengo un pequeño equipo astronómico portátil con una cámara a color que llevo al campo en mi furgo camper.
